Regain mobility with Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injury, and more. Our patented MATRIX Gait Trainer is the key to safe, effective, and efficient gait training.

Over years of treating hundreds of patients as a Physical Therapist and Traumatic Brain Injury Specialist, I experienced the pros and cons of many gait training devices. Too often, the gait trainer was so complex and cumbersome that it would take multiple clinicians to set the patient up in it. In response, I developed and patented a safe and easy to use device called the MATRIX Gait Trainer. I am happy to announce that it is now available nationwide.

Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and Traumatic Brain Injury

I developed the MATRIX with several conditions in mind including Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Here are some of the targeted benefits for each condition:

  • Parkinson’s: Reduces “freeze” moments and tremor during walking. Boosts patient confidence.
  • Multiple Sclerosis: Reduces the severity of spasticity and amount of energy exerted during walking.
  • Traumatic Brain Injury: Reduces compensation and improves awareness in the legs and hips for an improved brain-body connection.

Stable. Secure. Effective.

With a wider base of support and our innovative bungee support system, the MATRIX helps you step more confidently and safely. You will be able to:

  • Minimize muscle compensation.
  • Stimulate correct muscle activation.
  • Increase the number of safe, high-quality steps per session.
  • Feel safer and more stable.
  • Take steps in a more natural and unrestricted pattern.

Built for Success

The MATRIX Gait Trainer uses a series of bungees to attach to either the foot or the knee. As you advance the MATRIX forward, the tension on the bungees increases. As soon as the person shifts to one side, the MATRIX moves their leg forward. This process reduces the amount of strain and struggle spent trying to move forward. Therefore, you have a safer and more comfortable walking experience. The frame is also wider on the back side to increase stability and reduce the risk of tipping.

When a person is supported in a harness or larger device it can take 10-15 minutes and two or three people in order to set it up. With the MATRIX, the attachments are quick and easy to set up so the person can spend more time walking.

The MATRIX helps you get used to walking on a hard surface. It gives the brain the right information to fire the right muscles and feel what it’s like to walk on normal ground. The best thing is, it looks and feels like a walker. This all makes the transition to moving to a normal walker more natural. In fact, the MATRIX itself can be used as a regular walker after gait training is completed.

If you’re looking for a gait training device, you’re looking for something that’s safe, effective, and efficient and that is the MATRIX gait trainer.
