Chronic Fatigue

Chronic fatigue syndrome, a complex condition characterized by extreme fatigue with low intensity activities, affects millions nationwide. Most people experience dizziness, mental fog, and vertigo. Chronic fatigue commonly includes other diagnosis’ related to POTS, Dysautonomia, or EDS. Many variables in this condition require consideration prior to beginning medical treatment. Physical therapy plays a key role in maximizing recovery. Physical therapy addresses compromised breathing, awareness, and stability due to muscle weakness. Using specialized physical therapy treatments begin to improve balance and postural alignment prior to beginning general exercise. The addition of breathing exercises with visual awareness training also reduces risk of injury and the amount of energy spent during daily activities.
